💭 TBT MOTIVATION

COMMAND YOUR LIFE 👏🏿

As a young man, I remember being told that the guy that goes to the gym is the guy that is concerned with the physical and the man that goes to college is the man concerned about the development of his mind.

I struggled with that as a young man.

Because they are not separate.

My body becomes a physical manifestation of my thoughts.

My power is not my body. My power is my mind.

The gym, the resistance… all these things are tools, but my mind is at work.

It is not only awareness but even a heightened sense of awareness when I move my body.

And to gain command of this is to gain command of your thinking.

And to gain command of your thinking is to gain command of the picture of your life.

Thoughts Become Things.

Command your life.

💭 TBT TRAINING

TRICEP ARMORY💪🏿

Cable Pushdowns

I stand facing the machine with my feet shoulder-width apart. Then I grab the bar or rope with an overhand grip (palms facing down) and position my hands shoulder-width apart. The key is to tuck my elbows close to my sides and keep them there throughout the movement. This lift isolates the triceps, particularly targeting the lateral and medial heads. They help in building overall tricep strength and definition.

Skull Crushers

Lie on a flat bench with a barbell, EZ curl bar, or dumbbells. I hold the bar with an overhand grip, hands about shoulder-width apart, and extend my arms so the bar is directly above my chest. Keeping my upper arms stationary, lower the bar by bending my elbows until it is just above my forehead. Extending my arms back to the starting position by straightening my elbows, I feel the long head of my triceps engage. This is great for adding size to my triceps.

Weighted Dips

I position myself on parallel bars with my arms fully extended and my body upright. If I’m adding weight, I use a dip belt to secure the weight around my waist. Next, I lower my body by bending my elbows until my upper arms are parallel to the ground. Simply pushing myself back up to the starting position by straightening my arms. This gives a huge pump because it works all three heads of the tricep. Not only that, my chest, shoulders, and core are involved, too, making this a great compound movement with minimal equipment.
